PARLAYS

A Parlay is a bet that combines teams to give you GOOD ODDS.

In a Parlay you can NEVER LOSE MORE than the amount of your wager. Parlay odds shown here are based on teams that are 10/11. Any time you select a team that is more (or less) than 10/11, (Baseball, for example*) it changes the amount you win.

Ties: A tie reduces a Parlay to the next lowest Parlay with corresponding odds.

A two team Parlay reduces to a Flat Bet. Examples:

For how to figure out a Baseball Parlay see the OTHER section.

Round Robin Parlay: three teams or more are boxed into three or more 2-team Parlays, for example: a Round Robin Parlay with the Steelers, the Rams and the Dolphins would actually be three 2-team Parlays:

TEASERS

In Teasers a TIE and any number of wins constitutes NO ACTION.

A TIE and any loss is a LOSS.

You pay 5 cents extra for each total (over/under) you use in a Teaser.

You can buy up to 5½ points in Football Teasers or up to one point in Basketball Teasers. The amount you buy changes the amount you lay.

You can leave up to 3 open spaces in a Teaser as long as you have one team and set the amount of the bet. (This must be done by phone, not available online)

Don't forget you CANNOT TEASE Circled Games, Props, Baseball or Hockey!

SPECIAL TEASERS

A Special Teaser combines the EXTRA ODDS of a Parlay with the EXTRA POINTS of a Teaser.

A tie reduces a Special Teaser to the next lowest Special Teaser

(A tie and a loss is still a loss) In the case of a tie in a 3 team Special Teaser, it reduces to a 2 team Teaser.

You pay 5 cents extra for each total (over/under) you use in a Special Teaser.

You can buy up to 5½ points in Football Special Teasers or up to one point in Basketball SpecialTeasers. The amount you buy changes the amount you win. (This must be done by phone, not available online).

You can leave up to 5 open spaces in a Special Teaser as long as you have one team and set the amount of the bet

Don't forget you CANNOT SPECIAL TEASE Circled Games, Props, Baseball or Hockey !

IF WIN/ACTION TO

An If Win Bet is two or more bets, all but the first Bet dependant on what happens to the previous Bet. You can have an If Win with Single Action (SA) or Double Action (DA) Basically you have one  bet, and only if that bet wins (or ties) do you have the next bet.

TWO TEAM REVERSE or A&R

Possible Outcome for a $100 Two Team Reverse

ALL reverses (2-team and 3-or-more-team) are DA never SA
A cancelled game is graded as a TIE

3 TEAM REVERSE (ABC, BIRDCAGE OR A&R BOX)

SO IT PAYS, FOR EXAMPLE:

$100 AR (11/10 bet)

  • If all 3 teams win -- you are paid 4 x each win (12 wins!) +$1200
  • If 2 teams win & 1 team loses -- you are paid 3 x each win and charged 4 x loss +$160
  • If 1 team wins & 2 teams lose -- you are paid 2 x each win and charged 3 x each loss -$460
  • If all 3 teams lose -- you are charged 2 x each loss -$660
  • If 1 team wins, 1 loses, & 1 ties -- you are paid 3 x each win and charged 4 x loss -$140
  • If 2 teams win & 1 team ties -- you are paid 4 x each win +$800
  • If 2 teams lose & 1 team ties -- you are charged 3 x each loss -$660
  • If 1 team wins & 2 teams tie -- you are paid 4 x each win +$400
  • If 1 team loses & 2 teams tie -- you are charged 4 x each loss -$440
  • If all 3 teams tie -- you have no action $0
  • A cancelled game is graded as a TIE

Note: Action Reverses can include up to eight (8) different teams.

You may NOT leave any OPENS in reverses

OTHER

You can combine the team with the total, or the money line with the total, but not the team with the money line. Half times, quarters or propositions cannot be used in combination bets.

You can leave up to 7 spaces open to fill later (depending on the size of combination) in a combination bet, except that no opens are allowed in any reverses, You cannot make Open Bets online.

A circled game usually indicates either an injury to a player or bad weather in the city where the game is being played.   All our prop bets are circled. If a game is circled there is an upper limit to how much you can bet. You cannot buy points on circled games. Most circled games cannot be teased or parlayed.

Buying Points on Pro and College Football - you can buy up to 5½ points on sides or totals. Use this purchase in Parlays, Teasers, Reverses and If Bets. You will be charged according to the following table. Any time you move the line off of, onto or through a 3 (NFL only) you will be charged an extra 10 cents.

HORSE BETS

Exacta/Perfecta: Name in exact order first and second

Exacta/Perfecta box: equals 2 Exactas (Perfectas) so 2 horses to come 1st and 2nd (either order)

A player may make a Horse Wager using either the name (spelling) of the horse, or the number of that horse (the only valid number of any horse is the number that appears on the ‘blanket' located under the saddle of that horse.) Please be careful when using outside sources of information (ie: Newspapers, Websites, Tote Sheets, etc)

All calls are recorded for accuracy.

"Time Bets" will be given on all horse wagers. One minute will be added to the actual time at the completion of a wager.

Definition of a Time Bet
Time bet is the time that the bet is sent to the server, by either the clerk who is taking the phone bet, or the customer who is submitting the online bet. The time bet is calculated by the actual time in minutes (seconds do not count), plus ONE minute added for our protection. e.g. if you place a bet at anytime between 1:52:01 and 1:52:59 the time bet will be recorded as 1:53:00.

When grading horses, the "time bet" is compared to the posted off time of the race at the track. If the time bet is "equal to" or "less than" the posted off time at the track, the horse wager will have action. SOS uses the off time which is posted at the following websites:

www.drf.com      www.brisnet.com

Any wagers placed after the official “Off Time” of the race will be cancelled

SOS accepts horse wagers on all major thoroughbred racetracks and selected major stakes races only. (see attached list)

No Harness Racing.

The minimum horse wager is $25 US per call, there is no minimum horse wager online. The maximum wager is determined by the charts listed in SPORTS or RULES, for each specific track profile .

Track limits are set for each type of bet. If you exceed these track limits by placing multiple bets on the same race, at the same track, certains rules apply

1. If you exceed the track limits for a specific bet and lose - you will lose all bets
2. If you exceed the track limits for a specific bet and win - you will only be paid the MAXIMUM amount allowed for that type of bet, for that specific track profile

Scratches in Daily Doubles
SOS does not pay CONSOLATION doubles! If your horse is scratched, in either leg of your daily double selection, and your other selection WINS or LOSES, then the total amount of your wager will be REFUNDED to you.

Scratches in Pick Three, Pick Four, Pick Five and Pick Six
SOS does not pay off a CONSOLATION when there is a scratched horse in Pick 3's. Pick 4's or Pick 5's. The scratch becomes a REFUNDED bet, like any scratch, in any other race.

When there is a "5 out of 6" Pick 6 payoff at any track, the customer MUST call SOS to obtain credit for that bet. It is solely the customer's responsibility to call SOS so that the adjustment can be made.

Trifecta and Superfecta
When there is an "ALL" payoff at any track, the customer MUST call SOS to obtain credit for that bet. It is solely the customer's responsibility to call SOS so that the adjustment can be made.

See SPORTS or RULES for a list of track limits and maximums

HOW TO FIGURE A BASEBALL PARLAY

This is for reference only, to help you figure out a parlay payoff.  It is the responsibility of the customer to listen to the clerk when repeating the parlay payoff (or notice the payoff online)

The formula is:  (Amount wagered) x (factor of each team in the parlay) - your bet = parlay payoff

To work out factors:

FACTORS for underdogs

(any team with a + number):
Divide by 100* (ie move the decimal point 2 places)
and put a 2 in front of the number

Examples:
+115 = 2.15
+107 = 2.07
+168 = 2.68
+278 = 3.78
+200 = 3.00
+320 = 4.20

FACTORS for favorites,

(any team with a - number):
Divide 100*by the price,(* always 100 - this has nothing to do with the amount of your wager.) and put a 1 in front of the number
Examples:

-105 = .9523 = 1.952
-136 = .7352 = 1.735
-165 = .6060 = 1.606
-200 = .5000 = 1.500
-265 = .3773 = 1.377

Round your result to the nearest whole dollar.

So a 3 Parlay for $50:

Orioles  -136
Yankees  -200
Tigers  +168

Would work out like this:

Amt wagered $50 x [(Fctr -136 or 1.735) x (Fctr -200 or 1.5) x (Fctr =168 or 2.68)]
                    MINUS Amount wagered $50 = $299
                    or
                    ($50 x 1.735 x 1.5 x 2.68 - 50 = $299)
